It requires little investment but your time and your educational resources.
The massive world of affiliate marketing does not always require you to own your own website.
Nor to deal with customers, refunds, product development, and maintenance.
More than likely if you’re reading this post you’ve already been involved with affiliate marketing at some point. This means you know the power of affiliate marketing, it can be earning you money 24/7.
So, what should you do next to double or possibly triple your commissions?
Assuming you are already into affiliate marketing, this post will go over how to promote affiliate offers online.
Here are some simple ideas that add more traffic to the affiliate offers you intend to promote online. The affiliate marketplace is tough and competitive, most won’t earn near a professional income, but you can certainly try.

Know Your Products
The results will vary depending on the budget, experience, and time required to effectively execute the various methods within this post. In case you’re wondering how to find a niche product you can read this for some help.
For some, these tactics can take days, even weeks to complete. For experienced, this process can be set up and executed on a daily basis all while building a following.
Search the best programs and products available to promote and get to know those products.
Obviously, you want to promote programs that enable the highest profits in the least possible amount of time.
This means finding products in demand with higher commissions.
Ideally, you want to look for products that fit in with your specific intended target audience, your niche. Whichever affiliate product you decide to promote should come from a platform with a solid reputation for affiliate payouts.
Once you start promoting products from that platform, check back to see how the product may be converting. Track your data using various webmaster tools from Bing, Google, and others.
If the sales are in the toilet, dump that offer and replace it with another offer.

Promoting Brand Names
There literally are a million affiliate offers out there to promote online. You can be as selective as you like in choosing which may be the right fit for you. One tip that can be helpful, known name brands are trusted.
That can help you sell a product based on their established brand name.
That’s because products can be attached to larger brand names.
For instance, in ” As Seen On TV “, many potential buyers have never seen the product before.
However, they’re willing to buy products because of the brand “As Seen On TV”.
You should aim for an affiliate program tailored to the site content you create and your brand. If no website, you should still find the best products to increase your revenue.
While I don’t recommend affiliate marketing without a website there are some who choose to market that way.
That is more of a direct approach, some use cloaked links and good advertisement placement for their link traffic. Most rely on paid traffic to their promotional offers as well as any free traffic they can bring to their links.
One word of warning, check affiliate terms to see if links can be shortened, some allow and some do not.
Some affiliate platforms like Amazon do not allow that and only allow their resources used. This is very important if you expect to be paid, make certain you meet the requirements of the affiliate program.

Create A Gravatar
You may get in search engines by using forums or blog pages that are already ranked by leaving a comment with your links. The best way to do that is to create a Gravatar with your site information or leave your site address. Gravatar sometimes works better as some site owners don’t really like displaying links of other same niche sites.

Create Free Ebook Reports
For those that do own a website, it is best if you write a few free reports or ebooks that may offer some helpful tips. Maybe give away a free product like a PLR product, or maybe some kind of really good helpful tool.
These free items should be available on your site and given to list members to bring site visitors to retrieve those free items.
Getting people to look at free things is easier than getting them to visit pages that will cost them money.
However, just because a site visitor comes for a free product, it doesn’t mean they won’t spend money if they trust you.
There’s every probability that many others are promoting the same products that you are promoting.
It’s a good idea to use the above-described methods to build trust, gain traffic and capture more email opt-ins. Giving someone something useful distinguishes you and they do not forget.
You can wind up with a visitor that buys more than once from your sites.
The reports that you write should provide free valuable information that can really help someone. In the report, you should also add some recommendations to some products that you have reviewed recently.
The free ebooks and reports help bridge trust barriers and quickly turn site visitors into more willing buyers that use your site.

Intercept Vendor Traffic
Every free ebook and report should be offered by way of utilizing an opt-in page.
Build your email list using the free products as an incentive for your opt-ins. In most cases, a person does not make a purchase on the first visit to a website.
Collecting an email allows you to show them not only the free offers but many other available products.
Some affiliates said they sent out emails dozens of times before some would even consider buying anything.
However, this allows you to continue sending follow-up emails to your opt-in list.
This reminds them to purchase products from your site.
When sending visitors to a vendor’s page you can offer an email opt-in before they land on the page.
This puts one page between them and it’s not required, just asked.
This will also help build your email list and allow for your list to grow. The fact is you are providing free advertisements for vendors. Many people that see your offer may buy that same vendor’s offer somewhere else.
You only earn commissions when you make a sale, but vendors have thousands of affiliates promoting their products.
You can bet many of them are collecting those same emails as you do before they send them to the vendor’s sites. Make the opt-in offer an option to opt-in rather than a requirement before the vendor page.

Build Your List
It’s better to suggest rather than require something, if they decide to opt-out they still land on your product page.
They may buy that product from you regardless of joining your list. If they buy, you may wind up with their email from the sale depending on the platform or products.
For instance, you can offer PLR products where you own the product rights.
Selling PLR products would require you to have a merchant account set up on your product pages to earn any income.
Unless they’re being sold on Amazon or eBay, then their terms would apply.
Why send prospects directly to the vendors?
There’s every chance they’re lost forever if you don’t at least try to collect their information before leaving your site.
Once you collect their emails you can offer recurring fee programs that can pay you monthly commissions on autopilot.
There are many excellent programs that allow earning recurring monthly and annual commissions including Wealthy Affiliate, SEMRush, or Jaaxy.
Since these recurring offers come from well-branded proven companies, these products basically sell themselves. More important you are not promoting some kind of garbage.

A Publishers Trust
You will have so many great products to offer potential prospects, both on your site and with your list.
Over time this will grow exponentially as new people join your lists to get your free reports and ebooks. It’s smart to commit and create something free to give away every week or two.
It keeps new prospects interested and it keeps your list committed to stick around.
You can publish a blog, use email marketing, or maybe publish a newsletter.
Sometimes commenting on other blogs allows others to find you.
You will gain new readers when you offer new fresh content each week.
Over time you will have a large audience of readers coming from social posts, email lists, and organic traffic.
You can offer your site visitors to subscribe to notifications for when you publish new content.
This is a list you really want because they are actively engaged in your content.
They already show interest in what you’re offering to them when they join the list or subscribe to notifications.
The idea is to develop trust with visitors, provide useful information service that’s basically attached to a back-end sales pitch. You are not forcing anyone to buy anything, but you might know of a good deal on a product.
If it’s something worth promoting in your publishing and is legitimate to benefit your readers, then by all means.

Careful AdSense Placement
However, I’ve used Google Maps, the distance and directions are not always accurate or correct, algorithms go figure!
You can monetize pages and posts using AdSense, but you can lose your main product sales to that AdSense ad.
AdSense on your site should be nowhere near your main products and never placed on a sales pitch page ever.
The best method is to balance a good amount of solid useful information with your sales pitch, like a 60/40 split. This keeps the free information flowing continuously with a sales pitch offering to linger near the free information.
If your readers support you they will reciprocate by trusting your recommendations and buying products from your site offerings. With Google AdSense, it may not be a lot of money but it’s still money non the less and it can add up.
However, again make sure of the terms, many affiliate platforms do not allow affiliate links on sites with Adsense.
Once your site produces regular traffic with decent numbers you can try to negotiate better commission rates from merchants. Many merchants may increase the commission percentage rate to avoid losing any sales from you.
You’re in this for the money just as much as the merchant you promote those products for. A smart merchant will have some flexibility and will likely grant your commission rate request.
They’d rather keep the asset that you are to them, you’re valuable and they know that fact. Sales numbers never lie, if you’re ripping up the sales charts then even companies like Amazon will increase your commission payouts.

PPC And Classifieds
Don’t expect huge increases, but it could be a five percent to maybe 10 or 12 percent if you’re lucky. There’s nothing wrong with more than doubling your profits for a job well done.
With good sales happening you should try to negotiate your rates. The worst case is that your request gets denied, you can still promote the product if you want.
PPC is still one of the best online advertising models you can implement with affiliate marketing today.
When setting up Google Adwords accounts you can manage multiple PPC campaigns with set amounts for individual marketing campaign budgets.
With well-managed PPC campaigns, serious affiliates stand to make a nice income by using sponsored ads aside from other methods. Set up multiple PPC ad campaigns and keep an eye on them to see which ones are converting.
The ones that are not converting replace with ones that are. There are also some excellent free locations online where you can place free ads. That will also add an extra boost to your daily site traffic.
You should budget in paid classified ads, it can add additional traffic to your site’s free information. Staying consistent is key to achieving success with winning over the trust of your intended audience.
Check out these strategies to see a difference they can make to your commission checks, hopefully in a short time.
